2020 Effect offer a wide range of Chinese Arts Workshops, with Chinese New Year rapidly approaching we wanted to give you a introduction to Chinese New Year and more information about workshops we have that are aimed at celebrating this wonderful event!
To those of you who don’t know Chinese New Year starts with the New Moon on the first day of the New Year and ends on the full moon 15 days later. The last day of Chinese New Year is called the Lantern Festival, which is celebrated at night with lantern displays and typically children carrying lanterns in a parade.
New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are celebrated as a family affair, a time of reunion and thanksgiving. The celebration was traditionally highlighted with a religious ceremony given in honour of Heaven and Earth, the gods of the household and the family ancestors.
To understand more about this and celebrate lots of schools and organisations across the UK want to take part by booking a Chinese Arts Workshop for Chinese New Year.
